The practice of locking the Sheldon gate at jeppeson acres during football games is very irritating!!! Each time I come thru campus on my bike i have to lift it over the gate and then climb over (along with several other residents, typically). I have never spoken to anyone who is in favor of the roadblock, so why is it there? Pain in the rear and totally unnecessary. The rest of the sheldon campus has unhampered access but those of us who live on the north side of campus must go out of our way to access grocery, etc. Please reconsider this practice. It is unfair and does not keep anyone out except people who are handicapped or unable to climb the gate. We need to encourage walking/biking and not force people into their cars to drive coburg road to circumvent the restriction.
