[edit] Conceptual Summary

Composite of vacant, residential (units/acre), commercial (employees/acre), and industrial densities (physical densities of use) - units, lot coverage ratios (maybe precentage roofed (area color?) as well as number of employees (sized dots?)).

Intended to show what built/human uses are where, at what levels of physical intensity (density).

[edit] Map Styles Summary

  • area fill - vacant brownfields; reserved open space (~ public lands); residential color x, commercial color y, industrial color z
  • linework - lot lines? (something that indicates streets, streams - possibly just the common layers)
  • icons - employees, residents, scaled by number per polygon?

[edit] Conceptual Elements for the Map

  • What about reserved open space? What about public lands in general? Right-of-ways?
